We believe in 100% natural and sustainable food production & agriculture. However, we are aware of the fact that many farmers around the globe have neither the know-how nor means for organic or good agricultural practices certification. This is why we have started Ozelia Fair Trade Program.

 

With our  Fair Trade Program ;

 

• We encourage and help Olive Farmers in their transition to organic agriculture.

• We contribute their USDA  organic certification costs.

• We buy their organic products by paying a price premium over the market rate 

• Thanks to our traceability platform, consumers can trace each product back to the farmer and olive orchard level.

Currently, there are more than 40 Organic Olive Farmers who have become members of our program and counting.

Regardless of the organic certification status, we are committed to paying a fair price for our farmers for their year-long hard work. There are more than 500,000  olive farmer families in Turkey, including our own family. In the city of Akhisar alone where our orchards and facilities located, there are more than 100,000 people who rely on olive farming to feed their families.  The video below tells the story of these extremely hardworking, dedicated olive farmers of our hometown, Akhisar (in Turkish).
